3D Movies and Characters

This was largely inspired by the theme I used in this wallpaper. He was modeled in Cinema 4D, everything else was modeled, textured and animated in Maya. I had around 75 hours doing this, not including the huge render time, but I enjoyed most of it. Music is by Nine Inch Nails
Just another random summer model. I really enjoyed Disgaea, so I thought it would be fun to make a character or two into 3D. If you haven't played this great game... her name is Etna.

I made this through out part of the last summer and then finished it up during winter break. It didn't take that long, I just never really focused on it. It's sort of a preview type of animation for a movie that will never be made. The image next to the movie link is a render of the two characters in the animation.

More of an eye-candy, F-Zero inspired animation then anything, I made this for another class and thought it was good enough to show off here. The movie is almost 2 minutes long and the VR for each car are around 1 mb a piece.

Another bordom inspired model, with a few version to browse. I started modelling with with only an idea of how I wanted the head and wings to look, so the body just kinda came about. Not the most efficient way to model, but it ended up all right.

Hobbes - Textured | No Texture

I started reading a couple of my old Calvin and Hobbes books and just thought it'd be cool to see these guys in 3D. Not sure when I'll do Calvin, but here's Hobbes for your viewing pleasure.

This was a final project in one of my 3D classes and is probably the first thing I have made that I am really proud of. It's about one and a half minutes long with sound and all. Enjoy and any comments are very welcome via email or guestbook.

This was just a mini side project I worked on whenever I got bored with other stuff. Vipers have to be my favorite kind of car... so making a model of one was pretty fun. Took a total of 4 or so hours.

Quicktime Movie - High-Res (2.3 mb)

Second and final animated project for the semester. I went with a more cel-shaded style on this one, mainly just to see how it would look and I like it. I've taken the end off, because it's just not very good, but whats worth watching is still all on here.

Quicktime Movie High-Res (4.9 mb)

My first real animated project for a class at school. It is kinda funny and I'm pretty happy with it, so I thought I'd let, those of who you who didn't mind a slightly long download, enjoy it.

This started off as just an expieremnet to see f I could make a decent Quicktime VR and turned into a slighty larger project. The Ship 1 VR was first and is the most simple of the 3 ships I've built so far. The first quicktime VR above is of the second ship I built and has some lighting effects I've just recently gotten the hang of.

No idea what brought this to life... I was just playing around with making a nice, realistic, glass texture and just kinda went abstract from there. It reminds of a lot of the work people start off doing when they first get into painting or modelling... for some reason fruit bowls are the way to go... ^_^

I made this sword mainly just as a follow up to the Warcraft 3 sword. I guess you could say it was to see if the last one was a fluke or not ^_^
But I guess it wasnt, I really like how this came out. BTW, I used a Breath of Fire 3 sword drawing as the reference for this.

After my last lame attempt at makiing a more detailed sword I had to do something amazing. And not to be arrogant, but I think that's what this is. I am really proud of how this turned out. And if you haven't seen it before, it's my version of the sword Frostmourne in Warcraft 3.
